As part of the Apprenticeship Connect Apprentice Charity Challenge 2026, learners and employers will be coming together to make a real difference in their communities through fundraising, creativity and collaboration.
This year, we are proud to be supporting three incredible organisations. Each charity plays a vital role in improving lives, responding to crises and supporting those who need it most.
Meet the Charities

Casualties Union is a unique and highly specialised charity that supports the training of emergency responders, medical teams and rescue services.
Their work focuses on providing realistic casualty simulation, helping professionals prepare for real-life emergencies. Volunteers are trained to act as injured or distressed individuals in controlled scenarios, allowing emergency teams to practise decision-making, communication and care under pressure.
What they do:
- Improve emergency response training
- Support preparedness for real-world incidents
- Help save lives through better trained professionals
Funds raised through the challenge will support ongoing training programmes and volunteer development, ensuring emergency services can continue to deliver effective, life-saving responses.

British Red Cross is one of the UK’s most recognised humanitarian organisations, supporting people in crisis both across the UK and around the world.
From responding to disasters and providing emergency support, to helping refugees, offering first aid training and supporting vulnerable individuals, their work is wide-reaching and essential.
What they do:
- Respond to emergencies and disasters
- Support refugees and displaced people
- Provide vital first aid and community services
- Offer emotional and practical support during crisis
Funds raised will help the British Red Cross continue delivering urgent aid and long-term support to people facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Little Lives UK is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children and young people by providing access to essential resources, opportunities and mental health support.
Their mission focuses on helping children build brighter futures by removing barriers to wellbeing, education and personal development.
What they do:
- Support children facing disadvantage
- Improve access to mental health resources
- Help young people build confidence and resilience
- Create opportunities for brighter futures
Funds raised through the Apprentice Charity Challenge will directly support programmes that improve wellbeing and provide practical help to children and families in need.
