The Level 5 Operations/Department Management apprenticeship is designed for a management professional looking to develop their skills and better support their team.

Tailored to the role of an operations/department manager, this course gives you with the ability to manage a team effectively and ensure they are working towards operational goals that support your company’s wider strategy.

Learners are not required to contribute towards the course cost in any way. Apprenticeship courses are paid for by the employer and/or the UK government.

- Meet apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria.
- Meet course suitability and initial assessment requirements in English and maths.
- To not already hold a leadership or management qualification at level 5 or above.

During your level 5 management course, you’ll learn the required knowledge, skills and behaviours for you to become a qualified management professional. To achieve this you’ll cover a variety of topics that include: 

As you approach the end of your apprenticeship, we allow for a nine-month period for you to prepare for and sit your End Point Assessment (EPA). For this apprenticeship standard, you will be assessed in the following ways:

To make our apprenticeships as accessible as possible, all of our teaching is delivered online by our expert tutors. You’ll have access to our e-learning platform, Canvas, where you can access all of your lesson materials, additional resources and assignment submissions.

You’ll be supported by our team of expert tutors who have an employment background in leadership and management and can bring their experience to your education. 

Through this apprenticeship, you’ll enhance your existing management skills and become an experienced leadership professional. There are a range of pathways available to you upon completion to allow you to continue to progress in your career, some of which include:
