Job title: Receptionist/Administration – Apprenticeship
Location: Stratford, London
Wage: £10,400 per annum
Start date: ASAP
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (35 hours)
Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 8 hours per week in training that supports your apprenticeship course
Course entry requirements: GCSEs at grade D/level 3 or above in English and Maths

About the role:

As a Receptionist, the Apprentice will provide administrative support to the business whilst providing a welcoming, helpful and efficient first point of contact for visitors at the main reception desk.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing the front desk and being first point of contact for all visitors to STM Group
  • Managing and distributing all daily incoming and outgoing post and couriers
  • Answering calls in a professional manner, including screening and transferring calls and taking messages
  • Arranging and booking meetings for the Directors, ensuring refreshments avaliable for the team and visitors
  • Ensure the office/kitchen remains clean and tidy at all times
  • Assist with arranging corporate events
  • Ensuring the office runs smoothly on a daily basis, reporting any issues to the relevant director/contact
  • Ensuring all office sundry stock, including paper, stationary, ink, tea and coffee, is replenished and maintained to stock levels
  • Responsible for the administration of the fleet department, including licence checks, recording vehicle checks, arranging services and repairs and co ordinating any training required.
  • General office duties, including handing mail, photocopying and filing
  • Assisting HR department with interview candidates, handing out screening and equal op’s forms and collating responses
  • Assisting HR department with the screening and vetting process, obtaining references, checking right to work and qualifications
  • Any additional duty which may reasonably be expected to be performed, as required by the Directors, or any of the Company’s clients (where such a request is in keeping with the Company’s policies at any time)

  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focused values
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capable of prioritising and managing workload
