Wage: £13,000 per annum

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 7 hours per week in training that supports your apprenticeship course
Course entry requirements: GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above in English and Maths

Job duties and responsibilities:

To assist with daily operations and undertake front of house duties such as meeting/greeting, post handling, organising couriers and catering. Provide administrative support to accounts and the wider business, undertaking clerical and administrative tasks such as filing, making phone calls and processing data. As well as helping the Assistant Accountant deal with customers, staff queries and external agencies.

  • Meet and greet all visitors and members in a welcoming and professional manner
  • Coordinate member requests in a prompt and timely manner whether face to face, by email or on the telephone
  • Book meeting rooms on behalf of internal members and ensure that member meeting requirements are documented to include food and beverage, room layout, special requests etc.
  • Logistics e.g. booking travel and hotels for meetings
  • Carry out daily stock take of the essential supplies needed for the office to run smoothly e.g. ordering stationary, refreshments and cleaning products
  • Assistance with organising events for the company e.g. Summer Party, Christmas Party, team events etc
  • Filing and scanning documents and post duties
  • Taking minutes in managers meetings and board meetings

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Excellent organisational skills; able to prioritise effectively enabling you to work as efficiently as possible and meet the deadlines given.
  • Friendly and polite
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills in word and Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive can-do attitude
