Job title: Business Administrator – Apprenticeship
Location: Harborne- Birmingham
Wage: £5.50 per hour
Start date: ASAP
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 7 hours per week in training that supports your apprenticeship course
Course entry requirements: GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above in English and Maths

About the role:

This role provides general administration for my Client. It involves working across four different departments, so the Apprentice is able to understand and perform the administration duties within these departments. The Apprentice can then be able to see where they would like to develop on completion of the Apprenticeship to progress in their career with my Client.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the reception desk and initial client contact
  • Manage the Principals diary booking in all relevant forms
  • Manage the general practice post
  • Preparing documentation for initial meetings with prospective clients using a check-list to practice standards
  • Ensuring all records of clients’ personal details, plans and contact history remain confidential
  • Obtain quotations, illustrations and supporting documentation in preparation for client meetings
  • Provide, prepare and manage responses on LAT system
  • Assist in the management of client relationships
  • Provide ad-hoc research and administrative support to the Principal/Advisor as and when required
  • Deliver projects to meet defined business objectives

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures
  • Competent in a range of IT systems and software
  • Ability to work with others to achieve objectives and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing
  • Accuracy and ability to prioritise and organise own workload
