Job title: Business Administrator Apprentice

Location: Smethwick, Birmingham

Wage: £5ph

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: Monday – Friday (9am-4pm or 10am-5pm – Half hour lunch)

Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 7 hours per week in training that supports your apprenticeship course

Course entry requirements: GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above in English and Maths

About the role:

My client is a Domiciliary care practice based in Smethwick. The company specifically cares for service users within their own homes that specialise in Dementia, Learning disabilities, Mental health conditions, Personal care and more.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member
  • Meet and greet clients and visitors
  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system
  • Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences
  • Support staff in assigned project-based work
  • Assisting Administrative Manager and administrative support as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good IT skills including word processing, database and spreadsheet skills (experience of using Advanced Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is desirable)
