Job title: Teaching Assistant – Apprenticeship

Location: Clapham, London

Wage: £192 231/Week (£10,000 – £12,000 per annum)

Start date: ASAP

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (Term time working hours)

Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 7 hours per week in training that supports your apprenticeship course

Course entry requirements GCSEs at grade C/level 4 or above in English and Maths

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting children across the curriculum, often with a particular focus on maths, reading and writing
  • Giving extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language
  • Helping to develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
  • Motivating and encouraging pupils
  • Assisting with marking and correcting work
  • Attending meetings and reviews helping with school events, trips and activities
