About the role:

My client is a leading, independent firm of property advisors with expertise across a wide range of commercial and residential property, giving advice to buyers, owners, occupiers, investors, developers and more. Their core teams cover agency, property auctions, property & asset management and valuation & advisory services. They operate throughout London and the Home Counties with more than 120 staff, while their auction department and property management business covers the whole of the UK.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Assisting with and conducting property inspections and assisting surveyors with reports following inspections
  • Engaging with utility companies on bills and contracts
  • Working on Health and Safety management systems
  • Tendering for contractors for building services
  • Coding contractor invoices for payment
  • Credit control – speaking to tenants who haven’t paid and reporting to the property manager
  • General Admin duties
  • Answering telephone calls

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Good general ICT skills and knowledge of using Microsoft Office: Outlook (email and diary), Excel, Power Point, Word and the internet
  • Good level of communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Attention to detail, taking pride and ownership of your work and fulfilling agreed commitments, checking work for accuracy
  • Organised, being able to manage and prioritise your workload in a busy office environment
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about working independently, but also enjoy working in a team and contributing to the success of the organisation
  • Liaise directly with clients regarding their instructions as part of the team
  • Outgoing, confident and articulate
  • Need to have drive and determination
