About the company:

A very exciting opportunity has arisen within my clients fast paced, ever growing business and they are looking for a Business Administrator Apprentice to provide administrative support within the merchandising team.

With over 25 years’ experience, my client is one of the longest established public sector recruitment suppliers in the UK. Their specialist consultants have built up an in-depth understanding of the legislative and social issues that surround the public sector – and the challenges and opportunities they present.

Working from a network of offices throughout the UK, their consultants are niche sector experts in their respective disciplines which cover social care, housing, revenues & benefits and healthcare. About the role:

You will be primarily reporting into and working alongside the merchandising team, and supporting other departments and the wider business as required. Your main duties will be to assist with daily administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the recruitment team and the business as a whole. You will also be supporting all other areas of the business with administration support which may include printing, making calls to field staff or other businesses, and performing validation checks on work carried out by colleagues.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Receive and redirect all incoming phone calls / visitors to reception
  • Manage and distribute incoming post and parcels
  • Take responsibility for the franking of outgoing post and arrangement of couriers
  • Order uniform and create ID badges for all new starters
  • Process the weekly stationery orders and manage any ad-hoc requests for stationery or other office supplies
  • Administer the candidate application process, including distribution of links and online recruitment documents to potential candidates, chasing and managing the return of documents, uploading and filing appropriately
  • Set up new starters on our internal systems
  • Maintain spreadsheet logs
  • Send out documentation to candidates attending inductions
  • Print and collate material for driver information packs and ensure sufficient stock of packs is maintained
  • Scan existing paperwork into online systems
  • Initiate the restarter process for returning applicants
  • Support with any other admin tasks as required
