Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 8 hours per week in training that supports your apprenticeship course

About the role:

My client is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of non-metallic washers, gaskets, strips, sheeting, seals, insulation and other non-metallic strips and sheets. They have been supplying local, UK and global businesses with a range of quality-stamped components since 1860. All of the components they produce can be manufactured to any size, length, thickness and specification. Many of their products can also be supplied with self-adhesive.

Job duties and responsibilities:

This is a predominantly administrative role supporting the sales team. The successful candidate will not be required to make any sales, but strong verbal communication skills will be important for making and receiving calls on behalf of the business. Duties will include, but are not limited to:-

  • Raising job cards (production instructions) accurately
  • Raising and following up on Pro-Forma invoices
  • E-mailing and calling customers to solve queries
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Supporting the sales team with
  • General office duties such as filing etc.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures
  • Competent in a range of IT systems and software
  • Ability to work with others to achieve objectives and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing
  • Accuracy and ability to prioritise and organise own workload
