Working Hours: 37.5 hours from Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Time spent in training: You are required to spend a minimum of 7.5 hours per week in training that supports your Apprenticeship course

About the role:

Our client is a fast-growing agency in the field of interpreting and translation, covering more than 250 languages and dialects. They are committed to offering their clients the fastest and most reliable service. They are suppliers of Translation and Interpreting services to both public and private sectors. They only work with professionally qualified and DBS checked linguists who are native speakers. All of their interpreters are bound by a code of conduct, confidentiality agreements and are well trained, with a 24-hour support.

Job duties and responsibilities:

The successful applicant will have a genuine opportunity to develop a long-term career with this business, gaining key skills within a business environment. The business has successfully developed Apprentices in the past that are now highly-valued members of their team. You would be joining a unique company, with a very customer-centric approach, and this is a hands-on role in a very proactive team. You need to be confident in dealing with people, enjoy multitasking and problem-solving, and have good PC skills. Duties will include, but are not limited to:-

  • Undertake administrative tasks, such as photocopying, fax transmissions, processing mail, maintaining filing systems, archives and resource libraries and updating information
  • Manage the Booking Email Account and communication with clients
  • Answering inbound calls and dealing with queries
  • Assist the Accounts department
  • Registering Interpreters over the phone
  • Over the phone online booking support to customers
  • Assisting the Interpreter research and building resource
  • Create ID cards for candidates
  • Download candidate CVs from CV portals
  • Update payments and accounts

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Strong verbal and written communication with a self-assured personality
  • A passion to deliver first-class customer service
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Minimum Grade C for GCSE English and maths (or equivalent)
  • An excellent and confident telephone manner
  • Have an outwardly positive and passionate demeanor
  • A great eye for detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A helpful and willing attitude with a determination to succeed and excel
